Above are two versions of our Spam Guide. Both contain the same information; one has a more polished visual design, while the other presents the content in a more straightforward format.
FCC Enforcement and Spam Call Prevention
The FCC has been tightening rules around illegal robocalls and spam calls for a while now. Voice providers are required to use call authentication tech and watch their networks for suspicious activity.
That's good for consumers, but it also means stricter filtering across the board — and sometimes legitimate calls get caught in the net if they don't meet authentication standards.
Carriers are constantly trying to thread that needle: block the bad stuff without getting in the way of real calls.
What does “Spam” or “Scam Likely” calls mean:
Calls marked as spam are phone calls that have been identified as potentially unwanted, malicious, or fraudulent. These calls are often made by telemarketers, scammers, or automated systems (robocalls) attempting to deceive or annoy the recipient. The PDF attached will provide you with the links necessary to register your numbers.
Helpful Tips and Tricks we’ve gathered:
T-MOBILE SPAM ISSUES:
T-Mobile uses a very aggressive Spam filter. T-Mobile customers can turn this feature off on a per-number basis. The dial code may differ by phone model as well.
Link to T-Mobile Spam information.
Dialing #632# on a T-Mobile phone is the way to disable the Scam Block feature that automatically blocks calls identified as "Scam Likely" by T-Mobile's network, according to sources like T-Mobile and Robokiller. To enable this blocking feature, you would dial #662#, and to check the status, you can dial #787#.
To manage T-Mobile's Scam Block feature:
Disable Scam Block: Dial #632# on your T-Mobile phone.
Enable Scam Block: Dial #662# on your T-Mobile phone.
Check Status: Dial #787# to see if the feature is on or off.
Important Considerations:
This feature is specific to T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers.
While Scam Block is useful, it may occasionally block legitimate calls, which is why the option to disable it is important.
Enabling Scam Block protects against network-identified scams but does not protect against spam from anonymous or unknown numbers.
For other carriers, different tools and features like Verizon's Call Filter or third-party apps may be available.
VERIZON SPAM ISSUES:
Verizon wants to ensure that its customers receive good and wanted calls. Customers can contact Verizon if they incorrectly identify or block a wanted call as spam. Calling parties can contact Verizon if they believe their calls have been incorrectly blocked or labeled or that they have been adversely affected by information provided by the caller ID authentication framework. Both customers and calling parties can contact Verizon at:
SAMSUNG PHONES:
Samsung uses a feature called “SMART CALL”. This feature is provided by HIYA. If you’re experiencing issues calling to Samsung Users, follow the link below, under “Analytics Provider Registration” - HIYA Support.
If your business phone number has been incorrectly flagged, you can submit a request directly to the carrier or call analytics provider responsible for the label. These organizations maintain their own databases and review processes for updating caller reputation information.
Important Information

FirstDigital cannot submit spam label removal requests on behalf of customers.
Spam labeling reviews must be requested directly through the responsible carrier or analytics provider.
Resolution timelines vary by organization, and FirstDigital does not have visibility into their review processes or expected completion dates.
